Catch Your Love and the concept video

Tall grass silhouetted against a pink sunset over still water, the sun reflected on the surface

Catch Your Love became the first real test. Musically it brought together the R01 rules: syncopated clean guitars, funk bass, handclaps, live drums, falsetto, built-up vocal layers and a direct chorus around "I gotta catch your love".

Instead of only commissioning artwork, we built a visual story around it. The central object is a heart-shaped locket: it can travel through a city, stand for desire, and hold what the protagonist thinks he is looking for. Two anonymous figures, "The Runner" and "The Lost Signal", move through a rain-soaked neon city: a hotel corridor, a lift filled with pink haze, a tram where two hands almost mirror through glass, a round mirror room, a rooftop with a large magenta heart. At the end he opens the locket. There is no photo of her inside. There is a mirror.

On YouTube it is labelled Official Concept Video, not Official Music Video. We did not want to present a synthetic narrative film as a traditional performance video.

The production exposed a hard limit. We built storyboards in Neural Frames and full videos with Seedance 1.5; with the cheaper model a video cost roughly a few tens of euros, while higher-end models quickly cost far more. Architecture, wet streets, objects and slow camera moves held up on the cheaper model. People did not: unnatural movement, objects not held properly, bodies passing through each other, inconsistent faces. The useful question became: where is extra image quality actually worth paying for?

Our answer was a design rule rather than a better model. Figures are shown from behind, in silhouette, in reflections, cropped or through glass. It began as a workaround. It became part of the style.

Release mechanics forced a second choice. Spotify's editorial pitch allows one unreleased track at a time; pitching a second would have replaced the first. Catch Your Love got priority as the introduction, pitched on its live pop-rock feel, precision, guitars, bass, layered male vocals and the concept video, Canvas and short-form campaign.
