Questions about privacy: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

2. What we process, and why

  • Contact form (/contact). Your name, email address and message, to answer your question. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying to you, or steps at your request before a possible agreement.
  • Intake form (/services). Your name, email address, organisation, role, project description, links, question, timing, budget indication and, where relevant, catalogue details. We use this to assess whether we are the right fit and to reply. Legal basis: steps at your request before entering into an agreement.
  • Strategy Session (/strategy-session). Your name, email address, whether you order as a private person or business, company name and VAT number (if business), address and country, preferred language, your project, your question, links, a Blueprint credit code if you use one, and payment status. We use this to prepare and hold the session, to send the written summary and the invoice, and to meet our tax obligations. Legal basis: performance of the agreement and legal obligation.
  • Booking a time (Cal.com). After payment you choose a time through a booking link from Cal.com. Cal.com then processes the details you enter there (such as your name, email address and the chosen time) on our behalf.
  • The Music Venture Blueprint (/blueprint). Your name, email address, whether you order as a private person or business, company name and VAT number (if business), country and payment status. After payment we create a personal download link and a personal Strategy Session credit code. We only store a coded (hashed) version of the download link and count how often it is used, so that it works for 14 days and up to 5 downloads. The credit code is linked to your order and is valid for 60 days. Legal basis: performance of the agreement and legal obligation.
  • Check-in email after the Blueprint. About ten days after your purchase we send you one short email to ask how far you got and to remind you of your credit code. We do not send it if you have already used the code. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in following up on your purchase. You can object by replying to that email; we will then not contact you again for this purpose.
  • Book reservation (/book) and Blueprint waitlist. Your email address and, on /book, if you provide them, your first name and country. We also record on which page you signed up. We ask you to confirm your email address before you are added. We use this only to tell you when the book or the Blueprint is available and, if you ticked the box, to send news about Amini Labs and Notes (at most once a month). Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via the link in our emails.
  • Newsletter (website footer). Your email address, to send you our newsletter. Legal basis: your consent. Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link.
  • Payments. Payments are handled by Mollie. We receive the payment status and a transaction reference; we do not receive or store your bank or card details.
  • Website. Our hosting provider keeps technical server logs (such as IP address, date and time, requested page) to keep the website secure and working. Our forms do not store your IP address.
  • Visit counting without cookies. We count, per day, how often a few pages are visited, how often certain buttons are clicked and how many orders are completed. We do not use cookies for this and do not store IP addresses, device details or anything else that can identify you; only the totals are kept.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling. We do not upload the material you send us to generative AI services.

3. How long we keep your data

  • Intake requests: 24 months after submission.
  • Orders and invoices (Strategy Session, Blueprint): 7 years (statutory retention period for tax records).
  • Material you send for a Strategy Session (your question, links and notes): no longer than 12 months after the session.
  • Download links: they stop working after 14 days or 5 downloads; the coded link is kept with the order.
  • Credit codes: valid for 60 days; the code is kept with the order.
  • Book reservations: until the book is published, plus 12 months.
  • Blueprint waitlist: until the Blueprint is available, plus 12 months.
  • Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
  • Contact messages: as long as needed to handle your question, and no longer than 24 months.
  • Visit counts: kept as totals only; they contain no personal data.

4. Who receives your data

We do not sell your data. We only share it with service providers who process it on our behalf, under a data processing agreement:

  • SiteGround — website hosting and email;
  • Mollie B.V. (the Netherlands) — online payments;
  • Laposta (the Netherlands) — newsletter;
  • Cal.com, Inc. (United States) — booking a time for a Strategy Session.

Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

  • We use a functional session cookie that the website needs to work (for example to protect forms against misuse).
  • We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Our visit counting works without cookies (see section 2).
  • Spotify players are only loaded after you click to load them. Spotify may then set its own cookies; see Spotify's privacy policy. If you choose to load a player, your browser remembers that choice locally (no cookie is sent to us).
  • When you open your Cal.com booking link, you visit Cal.com's website; Cal.com's own privacy and cookie policy applies there.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive your data in a portable format. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. Send your request to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.; we respond within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

7. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, such as an encrypted connection (HTTPS), restricted access to submissions, files that can only be downloaded through a personal link, and storage of download links in coded form.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always available on this page.
