A lone figure in a long coat standing in a flooded neon street at night, signs reading Meat Energy and Neon Bones, a fire on a distant hill

Where it stands. The experiment is running. Four chapters and an epilogue form a closed cycle: Body → World → Mind → Future → Return. Neon Bones is set for release on 14 October [YEAR]; A Very Meaty Christmas follows as the epilogue.

What we know. A small idea can become a coherent catalogue quickly. Generative tools make it cheap to prototype musical directions; human selection and direction make the result more consistent than any single tool would. One act can hold very different styles if the conceptual spine is clear. Music, artwork, film and marketing can be designed at the same time. Real market tests can run before large sums go into conventional production. Production got cheaper; control, curation and rights administration did not.

What we do not know. We have not shown that an AI-assisted project can become a lasting commercial artist brand. We have not shown that paid ads can efficiently buy returning listeners. Our one paid test produced cheap views and 2 measured conversions, and it did not cleanly test the niche. [DATA NEEDED: streams, followers, saves, returning viewers per release]

What we are watching next. Return over reach: follows, saves, playlist adds, repeat and cross-catalogue listening. The bar for the next phase is ten people who come back unprompted. Two hypotheses to test: YouTube as the place where the world itself does the converting (short → full video → second video → playlist → Spotify), and community-first outreach in carnivore, BBQ, farming, live-fire and alternative Christmas circles, sharing the joke rather than asking for a stream.

Open questions. How visible should the production method be? Current answer: the Meat Energy page shows the world; Amini Labs shows how it was built. And how close can the project stand to farming and diet communities without becoming a channel for one cause?

Next decision. After the Neon Bones and Christmas releases, set explicit continue, scale or stop criteria at [THRESHOLD] returning listeners, and keep video spend at prototype level until that bar is met.
