From body to world

After Glory to Meat (R01), a problem appeared: an act that only makes new variations on "steak is good" will use itself up quickly. So the question shifted from what do we eat? to where does it come from?
That became the second album, When The Fields Go Quiet. Where the first record was about body, instinct and rebellion, this one is about landscape, memory and consequence: the farm, the field, generations, changing land use, the distance between consumer and origin. The tone became more melancholic. The humour did not disappear, but something was now at stake.
Fields of Tomorrow became a key track and one of the first serious concept videos in the Meat Energy world. It also forced a decision that has held since: Meat Energy does not do simple political messaging. An empty barn or changing farmland can carry emotion without telling the viewer which side is right. The more useful question is larger: what happens to a culture when the landscape that shaped it disappears?
This is also where the structure appeared, in hindsight rather than by design. The albums did not need to stand alone. A movement emerged: Body → World → Mind → Future. Glory to Meat became The Body; When The Fields Go Quiet became The World. The next logical question was not another food question but an epistemological one: if we deal less and less with physical reality directly, how do we decide what to believe?
